The Day After The Night Before
The plan with my friend Victoria did not go according to plan, but it will, one day soon.
I am overly excited at receiving this gift
My new baby, a Fuji S1000FD. Have only this morning managed to take it out of the box, spent the last hour trying to fit the strap (wrongly) and cannot wait to start snapping. It is an ideal camera for me because of the weight, I am familiar with most of the settings and it has a much better zoom than my A900. Am so looking forward to getting in amongst the flowers to try the super macro mode.
Got two important dates coming up
Tuesday is my daughter G's graduation
Saturday my nephews wedding
I am trying not to feel anxious about both these events, I need to switch off my thoughts of how I will feel on the day and my hopes that I will manage as they are almost as draining as the actual events.
Going now to make a cuppa, stroke my new camera some more and hopefully/perhaps/maybe take some photographs oh and perhaps look at the manual.

I Can't Stay On Your Life Support
For most people they have no problem with this type of support, but in my case "not a lot" just when you need them they let you down, thats gratitude for you!!!

New Girl In Town
Hopefully Victoria will get her on Friday (we have a plan...and that's scary) but meanwhile she has become a Big Brother fan

It's Hot And It's Red And It's Blue And It's Cool
Ripe And Bearing Miracles
Lyrics from "Soldier Blue" by Buffy Sainte Marie, this song sends chills right through me, from the movie Soldier Blue, it tells the story of the vicious slaughter of the Cheyenne Indians during the Sand Creek Massacre of 1864. A powerful film which stays firmly in my memory. It made me cry. The history is cruel and sad and I cant help be reminded about the troubles in Iraq and Afghanistan, and wonder did we learn anything ?
Yes this is my country.
Young and growing.
Free and flowing. See to see.
Yes, this is my country.
Ripe and bearing miracles in ever pond and tree.
Her spirit walks the high country.
She’s giving free wild samples.
And setting an example how to give

Pushed Back Her Fringe
An ornamental edge or a natural border to hair
Lyrics from "For The Price Of A Cup Of Tea" by Belle and Sebastian
She just wants to be accepted in this place
There's something in her face
She will always seem exotic and aloof
If you want to know the truth
Her friend the stars dripping from the jewelled sky
When she was passing by
Would keep her calm
There was people that she knew, at least she thought she did
Be easy on the kid!
She took her winter coat from her plastic wrapper
Pushed back her fringe, see her birthmark
She can finally be the person she wanted to be

Nice....The Good News
Last August NICE (National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence ) issued guidlines for the treatment of ME/CFS. In the guidelines, NICE refused to classify ME as "a disease of the nervous system", as the World Health Organisation has done, and recommended treatments which could be"harmful to patients" i.e cognitive behavioural therapy(CBT) and graded exercise therapy (GET).
NICE also specifically advised against the use of other types of treatment – in particular antiviral drugs. Consequently, doctors would not be able to obtain funding for treatments that were not recommended or were being proscribed (ie forbidden) by NICE in the guideline.
The good news is that two ME sufferer's have won a significant legal victory after a leading judge declared it "in the public interest" for the High Court to rule on claims that these treatments being offered on the NHS are "potentially fatal".
The case will now go ahead to a full High Court hearing. A brilliant outcome, and perhaps the most positive ME news ever.

He Just Dehydrated And Died
To fill or absorb with water
Lyrics from "The Man Who Couldn't Cry" by Johnny Cash.......a bit of a cheat as the word is dehydrated.
He was removed from jail and placed in a placeFor the insensitive and the insane
He played lots of chess and made lots of friends
And he wept every time it would rain
Once it rained forty days and it rained forty nights
And he cried and he cried and he cried and he cried
On the forty-first day, he passed away
He just dehydrated and died

Like The Drip Drip Drip Of The Raindrops
To let small drops of liquid fall
Lyrics from "Night And Day" by Cole Porter
Like the drip drip drip of the raindrops
When the summer shower is through
So a voice within me keeps repeating you, you, you
Night and day, you are the one
Only you beneath the moon or under the sun
Whether near to me, or far
It`s no matter darling where you are
I think of you
Now that I have

Said I Got A One Track Mind
Lyrics from "Too Busy Thinking About My Baby" by Marvin Gaye
Tellin ya I'm just a fellow
Said I got a one track mind
And when it comes to thinking about anything but my baby
I just don't have any time
