Welcome To My World

HSMS ( a daily prompt to get your camera into action) has changed, there is a new website and joining Anita in the prompts we have SusyB and Andrew, hence the new name "Her Space, My Space, His Space" or HSMSHS for short. The new website looks fantastic and I am really looking forward to the input from SusyB and Andrew.
For their launch day the first prompt is Welcome
An instant or manner of greeting someone. Show us 'welcome' in your space today.

Lyrics from Welcome To My World by Elvis

Welcome to my world,
Won't you come on in
Miracles, I guess
Still happen now and then
Step into my heart
Leave your cares behind
Welcome to my world
Built with you in mind

Today's prompt has distracted me from some bad news I got yesterday. My dog Belle, who I have had since she was six weeks old, has a brain tumour. She has been acting strangely for a few weeks and yesterdays visit to the vets gave us the horrible news. She has been my constant friend and companion throughout my illness, always by my side and always there with a wonderful welcome for everyone. We are going to have to make the decision when to let her go, yesterday she was really bad, today she is good. I will not let her suffer but my heart breaks at the thought of the day when she will no longer be here.

I remember Johnny Cash singing this :-) My Mum was a big Country & Western Fan. Great choice of song today.

Lovely to see some healthy fruit . . . can't really see the pastry etc so we can "pretend" it's a healthy welcome ;-D

Strawberry tarts are my favourite and the mixed fruit one :-) Just in case I ever visit, you might just need to know.

Right. And now to Belle. Oh, my friend I feel for you having such bad news. It's heartbreaking to watch an animal in pain/distress as they can't tell you what is wrong. For this I am glad that you have now have the diagnosis.

BUT what a damn shame. She's so close to you and I can not begin to imagine how much she will be missed.

May you have the stregth to make the decision when it is needed Janette.

Sending you {{hugs}} Love and Peace . . . Sue

What is there to say...those of us who know the love of an animal feel your pain. They bring us so much joy but they can also break our hearts. I am sure I speak for us all when I say...our thoughts are with you.

Great pictures, but could do with being bigger, they deserve it.

So sorry to hear about Belle, I know what a comfort a companion is when you are having a bad day. What awful news, but at least you know what's wrong - so difficult when they can't tell you if there is a problem. Massive hugs to you.
