Wisdom For The Weekend
Prompt from Friends Of HSMSHS If Tomorrow Never Comes
So tell that someone that you love
Just what you're thinking of
If tomorrow never comes
Sometimes late at night
I lie awake and watch her sleeping
She's lost in peaceful dreams
So I turn out the lights and lay there in the dark
And the thought crosses my mind
If I never wake up in the morning
Would she ever doubt the way I feel
About her in my heart
If tomorrow never comes
Will she know how much I loved her
Did I try in every way to show her every day
That she's my only one
And if my time on earth were through
And she must face the world without me
Is the love I gave her in the past
Gonna be enough to last
If tomorrow never comes
'Cause I've lost loved ones in my life
Who never knew how much I loved them
Now I live with the regret
That my true feelings for them never were revealed
So I made a promise to myself
To say each day how much she means to me
And avoid that circumstance
Where there's no second chance to tell her how I feel
If tomorrow never comes
Will she know how much I loved her
Did I try in every way to show her every day
That she's my only one
And if my time on earth were through
And she must face the world without me
Is the love I gave her in the past
Gonna be enough to last
If tomorrow never comes

Wisdom For The Weekend
Friends Of HSMSHS Wisdom For The Weekend...prompt by Tammy
"A Change in the Air"
Clint Black
"The leaves are turning, soon they'll fall...And tonight I feel a change in the air."
There's something talkin' in the wind
Whispering through the trees
That feeling in my bones again
Just puts me right at ease
It takes me back to all the times
I've been here before
But crossroads, old familiar signs
Tell me there's something more
Can't explain, there's something strange about the early fall
It's comfort leaving me without a care
I remain but everything around me hears the call
And tonight I feel a change in the air
The leaves are turning, soon they'll fall
There's a norther blowing in
The memories flowin', I recall
Those changes in the wind
But I can never try to understand
There's nothing you can hold in your hand
Can't explain, there's something strange about the early fall
It's comfort leaving me without a care
I remain but everything around me hears the call
And tonight I feel a change in the air
Yes I'll surely feel a change in the air

Wisdom For The Weekend
Friends Of HSMSHS
Prompt this week from Chris
A Soft Day by W.M.Letts
A soft day, thank God!
A wind from the south
With a honeyed mouth;
Ascent of drenching leaves,
Briar and beech and lime,
White elder-flower and thyme
And the soaking grass smells sweet,
Crushed by my two bare feet,
while the rain drips,
Drips,drips,drips from the leaves
A soft day,thank God!
The hills wear a shroudOf silver cloud;
The web the spider weaves
Is a glittering net;
The woodland path is wet
And the soaking earth smells sweet
Under my two bare feet,
And the rain drips,
Drips,drips,drips from the leaves
The web the spider weaves is a glittering net
The hills wear a shroud
Of silver cloud
